Richard Fisher
Richard is the Managing Partner of Heringtons and has responsibility for many of the firm’s compliance functions. His background is in dispute resolution and in particular, helping people to resolve disputes over property and inheritance. This experience has given him a practical and pragmatic, solution-based approach to problem solving.
Richard thrives on knotty problems to solve and enjoys helping the firm’s clients to achieve success whether in court, through mediation or finalising an estate or finalising an important transaction. He recognises that in most instances the work the firm is doing is the most important thing in each individual client’s life at that time and approaches all enquiries with that firmly in mind.
His management responsibilities include being Client Care Partner with the overall objective of ensuring the firm delivers excellent service to all clients. Compliance Officer for Legal Practice and Money Laundering Compliance Officer and being part of the Data Protection Team are also roles Richard fills within the firm
BACKGROUND:
Richard has been practising law locally for more than 30 years qualifying as a solicitor in 1990.
OUTSIDE THE OFFICE:
Richard is a Trustee for the Friends of the Conquest Hospital. Richard has played badminton almost weekly for a great many years (with no visible sign of improvement), and enjoys running with Rye Runners and cycling alongside, or walking with, his much loved labradoodle, Hugo. Being based in our Hastings branch means in the summer months Richard can enjoy an occasional lunchtime swim. He regularly visits the theatre and cinema but likes nothing more some days than settling down to read a great book - with Hugo for company.
