What our employees say about Heringtons

Yuen Chan - Partner and Solicitor :

"No two days are the same when working in conveyancing and that is why I love my job!  I am able to meet a variety of people and I get a lot of satisfaction in letting a client know they have exchanged or completed, especially when it is their first home -  I am almost as excited as they are!  I am based at the Bexhill office which is just a few minutes walk to the seafront and town.   It is lovely in the summer to sit on the beach and eat lunch.  The firm holds wonderful events for colleagues - I’ve been to Christmas events at the Azur, Manor Barn, the Grand Hotel Eastbourne and family fun days at Sedlescombe Golf Course.  It's a great opportunity to catch up with all my colleagues in the other offices.   Heringtons participates in the Hastings Legal Walk which I attended in my first year with the firm, that was a lot of fun and an opportunity to raise money for charity.  The firm often holds fund raisers throughout the year for charity which is great as it usually it involves eating a variety of cakes and bakes!"

Sophie Ryan, Float Secretary :

"I love working for Heringtons!  There are new challenges every day and always something interesting around the corner.  However, what I feel is the best part of my job is that  I get to travel around all of our offices and meet all members of staff.  They are such a lovely and fun bunch of people that coming to work is actually enjoyable (and how rare is that these days!) "

Belinda Wood, Assistant to the Managing Partner:

"Heringtons has provided me with career advancement and development.  After many years of working in the private, corporate and self employed sectors I joined the firm six years ago as a Receptionist which I fully enjoyed.  However I was grateful that the firm picked up on my background in marketing my own business in hospitality and client services so that they could better utilise my experience and develop my present role. At a latter time in my working life I am grateful for having been given the opportunity to leave the corporate "London" life behind and very happy to be settled in this beautiful part of the country working alongside a great team!"
