Continuing this month's annual spring reward scheme, where colleagues can choose a charity for the firm to support, we hear the reasons why Partner and Joint Property Practice Group Leader, Jane Cathcart, selected The Seaview Project.
Jane said she chose Seaview because of the focus on homelessness and short term crisis accommodation to prevent rough sleeping. "With so much of our work coming from buying and selling homes it is important to remember that many cannot navigate a pathway to home ownership or even have a place to call home for many varied reasons. The Seaview Project offers practical support, housing placement assistance and also a wellbeing centre where people can go to find help, nourishment and washing facilities as well as attend educational programmes and support groups. They also provide a Homeless Healthcare Service in conjunction with St John Ambulance for those unable to access primary healthcare easily."
We hope the firm's £250 donation goes some way to continue the work of Seaview.
Update: since this nomination The Seaview Project has also been named as Conveyancing Executive Denise Greenaway's chosen charity and as a result they will be receiving a further £100.
