Tia Harrison

Tia advises clients on all aspects of separation, including how matrimonial assets should be divided and the arrangements for children.  As a member of Resolution Tia is as adept at helping clients achieve a conciliatory resolution by agreement as she is at taking a more litigious and robust approach.  No matter what course of action, Tia fights hard for her clients and believes her knowledge and attention to detail ensures clients feel supported and reassured during what is often an unsettling time.  

Tia’s experience covers both married and unmarried couples.  Tia is regularly instructed in relation to complex financial disputes, pre and post nuptial agreements and cohabitation agreements.  Tia also has significant experience in complex children applications, including where there has been domestic abuse, parental alienation and those with an international element where a parent wishes to relocate abroad.  Tia does not underestimate how tricky a separation can be and clients say that her knowledge and expertise are quickly evident and her sensitive, pragmatic and robust approach often makes a stressful situation easier. 

Tia works collaboratively with the family team and ensures complete transparency when it comes to funding litigation.

BACKGROUND:

Tia qualified as a solicitor in 2011 and worked for another local law firm as a family law Solicitor and Partner before joining Heringtons in October 2022.  She became a Partner with the firm in January 2024. 

OUTSIDE THE OFFICE:

Tia has a young family which often keeps her busy.  She says when she is not following her children around and tidying up their mess she enjoys to cook and tries to go horse riding as often as possible!
