Lola Goodwin

Chartered Legal Executive (Family Litigator) and CILEx Lawyer

Lola specialises in Family Law and started her career in 2017 as an apprentice. She advises clients in connection with matters arising from the breakdown of a relationship, including divorce proceedings and the division of the matrimonial assets, as well as the arrangements for the children. Lola also advises clients in relation to obtaining Parental Responsibility for a child and she is experienced in advising grandparents. Lola has a keen interest in complex Children Act matters, such as cases involving intractable contact disputes and relocation. Lola particularly enjoys unpicking a client’s case, identifying the strengths and putting together the legal arguments, using her knowledge to find creative solutions to issues which arise throughout the course of the matter.

Lola is compassionate in her approach and prides herself on her attention to detail. She has experience assisting clients from a range of backgrounds and she recognises the importance of adapting her approach to meet her clients' individual needs and circumstances.  She assists clients in resolving disputes amicably by discussion where possible, but is equally experienced in representing her clients through contested court proceedings, arguing their case tenaciously.

BACKGROUND:

Lola qualified as a Chartered Legal Executive in June 2024 and was admitted as a CILEx Lawyer and Chartered Legal Executive Litigator in July 2026, having undertaken a portfolio to obtain Practice Rights.

OUTSIDE THE OFFICE:

Lola is passionate about health and fitness and she enjoys weight training at the gym, reading crime novels and travelling to explore as many new countries as she can each year. Lola’s favourite places to travel to so far have been New York at Christmas and kayaking around the caves in Portugal.
