How do I get a divorce when I can't leave home?

During this difficult time it may feel as if your life is being put on hold and you can’t move forward. But if you have decided you want a separation or you just want some initial advice with no obligation we are offering telephone appointments with one of our solicitors for a fixed price of £120 for half an hour and £240 for an hour, inclusive of VAT.

Our experienced solicitors will talk you through your options just as if you were sat across the table, and if you have a video app you can see us too!  Don’t worry – we won’t rush you into anything and can go at the pace you prefer. Our solicitor will go through the background of your relationship and will be able to advise you as to your next steps.

We will be happy to discuss the divorce process with you and any relating matters such as the likely financial impact on you and making sure the arrangements for your children are right for them. Then, you can decide whether you want to take this forward or whether you would prefer to wait. The decision is entirely yours. If you do decide you want us to take the next step we can begin working on your file straightaway. There is no need to attend our offices in person as everything can be done via the telephone and over email.

The Family Courts are still operating but they are, where possible, operating remotely to protect everyone involved. This means that you can still proceed with an application to the court in relation to divorce, financial matters and arrangements for children.
